RMUoHP Degrees Overview
Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions offers
five graduate degrees in a variety of healthcare-related
educational programs, all of which follow our
limited-residency model. This allows a student to
maintain his or her residence and career while
simultaneously pursuing graduate education. Please
click on the links to the left for more details on each
degree program and specialty.
The
Doctor of Science (DSc) is a terminal doctorate for
healthcare professionals with a master's degree or other
doctorate. This 75-credit program generally requires
approximately four years to complete and includes core research
courses, specialty courses, and dissertation. Students
average four-to-five years to complete this degree program.
The
transitional Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program
is a 40-credit entry-level clinical doctorate for licensed
advanced practice nurses who have a master's degree. This
18-24 month program also includes a capstone research
project.
The
transitional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) and
transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
programs are entry-level clinical doctorates designed for
licensed therapists with either a bachelor's or master's
degree (or other doctorate). The 22-25 credit programs take
approximately one year to complete.

Master of Science program is currently under

available.
